  17. <p>     Corporate executives are happy to share in company
  18. profits during good times. When the bottom drops out, however,
  19. the top guys still reward themselves. Not Frank Shrontz. The
  20. Boeing chairman rejected his regular raise of his $820,000
  21. salary, citing the aerospace firm's lousy 1992 performance.
  22. Boeing may have to let go as many as 27,000 workers during the
  23. next year. Shrontz did not, however, say whether he will give
  24. up his bonus and stock options, a total of $600,000.
